Lizan is a two-owner-from-new 60ft Semi-Traditional Stern Narrowboat, built by Alexander Boatbuilders in 2008 and professionally fitted out by NSM Narrowboats in 2009. Designed in a practical forward layout, this spacious vessel offers comfortable accommodation ideally suited to weekends afloat, extended cruising, or liveaboard living. The accommodation begins aft with a well-appointed master cabin featuring a fixed double berth, which can be extended to provide a generous 4ft 8in wide bed, alongside plentiful storage options. Forward of the cabin is a bathroom fitted with a pump-out toilet, followed by a walkthrough galley and a Pullman-style dinette. The saloon is positioned forward and benefits from an open-plan layout with space available for freestanding furniture, creating a bright and versatile living area. Propulsion is provided by a Beta Marine 43hp four-cylinder diesel engine. Cabin heating is delivered by an Eberspächer diesel-fired central heating system supplying radiators throughout the boat, complemented by a multifuel stove in the saloon. Hot water is supplied via the engine calorifier, central heating system, and a 240V immersion heater. Both 12V and 240V electrical systems are installed onboard for modern convenience. An ideal Narrowboat for leisure cruising, extended holidays, or comfortable residential use, Lizan offers a spacious and practical layout with all the essentials for life afloat. Interior Arrangements
Master Cabin
Entering from the stern deck leads into a spacious and well-appointed master cabin. Excellent storage is provided throughout, including hanging wardrobes, shelving, and overhead cupboards. One cupboard has plumbing available to accommodate a compact washing machine should the new owner wish to install one. The fixed 4ft wide double berth extends to approximately 4ft 8in and features individual reading spotlights above. Porthole windows provide additional privacy within the cabin.
Bathroom
The bathroom is fitted with a pump-out macerator toilet and a hand basin set within a vanity unit with stainless-steel mixer tap. Opposite is a separate shower enclosure. Located within the corridor between the bathroom and galley is a clever fold-out privacy door, allowing separation between the forward and aft accommodation when required. When folded away, the door discreetly conceals a useful set of storage shelves.
Galley
The walkthrough galley is equipped with a gas hob, grill and oven, a kitchen sink with separate drainer, and a 12V fridge with ice box. A starboard-side hatch provides additional natural light and ventilation, creating a bright and practical cooking space.
Dinette
The raised Pullman-style dinette features forward- and aft-facing seating, comfortably accommodating four crew around the table. This area also converts into an additional double berth when required, with useful storage located beneath the seating.
Saloon
Located forward, the saloon benefits from direct access onto the bow well deck, complete with a full cratch board and canopy. The open-plan layout provides space for freestanding furniture such as armchairs or a sofa, allowing the new owner to tailor the living space to suit their needs. A multifuel stove, positioned to port on a tiled hearth, provides warmth and character, opposite a high-level storage cupboard with a corner storage cabinet and shelving below.
