Boat Details

A family-owned example of the Stevens 1200 DL later rebranded as the 1240. Silvernesian was bult by Stevens in 1993 and was displayed at the London Boat show in Earls Court the same year and commissioned shortly following this in Spring 1993. Built to be used on both inshore and offshore the vessel has spent most of its life cruising on the Thames, but has on occasions made voyages to France, the Netherlands and Belgium. Fitted with two Ford Sabre diesel engines producing 90hp each and velvet drive gearboxes. Designed with twin keels she saw extensive refurbishment below the waterline early 2022 with the hull being re epoxied, both props being refurbished, shafts and rudders removed for inspection and the cutlass bearings being replaced.. At the same time the interior upholstery was retrimmed and new curtains being made and fitted.. The current owner has fitted a 340w Solar System to the vessel which charges the house batteries as well as the port engine start battery.

Silvernesian has the popular Stevens layout with V beds in the forward cabin, that can be converted to a double bed. Galley on port side, with dinette opposite that can be converted into a double bed. Large saloon with interior helm, port side access door, further door to rear deck and saloon sofa to starboard Leading to the aft is access to the heads on the port side and separate shower/washroom to Starboard. Onwards from there is the aft cabin with double bed, wardrobe and a number of cupboards. A full structural survey has been carried out pre marketing in April 2024 and this can be reassigned to any purchaser. At the same time the hull was antifouled and polished. The fuel tank was drained and cleaned in 2024 and refilled with new diesel, all fuel filters were changed at the same time as well as the engines serviced.
