Boat Details

Time Out 3 is a spacious Mel Davis 70’ Narrowboat, built in 2009 and fitted out by Stephen Mitchell in 2010 - the build and fit out were overseen by INCAT, an international boat building company.  A Boatman’s cabin is located aft and leads to the engine room, the master cabin, walk through bathroom, galley and U shaped dinette area with the saloon forward. Features include a double berth in the master cabin with convertible double berths in both the boatman's cabin and dinette.  A Gardner 4LK diesel engine is located in the engine compartment, 12V and 240V electrics are supplied by an inverter off the extensive battery bank.  Central heating and hot water are provided through an engine calorifier and a water heater attached to the diesel fuel stove in the saloon.  Offering ample accommodation space, this Narrowboat would be ideal for liveaboard or leisure cruising. Boatmans Style Cabin

On entering the boat’s interior, the boatman’s cabin is fitted with bench seating on the stbd side which has storage underneath and converts to a 4' wide double berth.  There are a variety of other cupboard and drawer storage spaces.  The cabin space also contains a drinks fridge by the companion way, and separate compartments for the washing machine and a cassette toilet.

Engine Room

The engine room houses an impressive 4 cylinder Gardner 4KL diesel engine with easy access for maintenance, the inverter and both battery banks with side hatches on either side of the space and a pigeon box above. 

Master Cabin

The relaxing carpeted master cabin has a double bed which extends to 4'6in wide, and a roomy cupboard with hanging space and shelves.  LED reading lights are also fitted above the bed.

Bathroom

The walk through bathroom contains a large shower cubicle and an electric pump out toilet to stbd, opposite can be found a hand basin set in a vanity unit with a stainless-steel mixer tap.

Galley

A curved walk through galley has extensive counter top areas and ample drawer and cupboard storage and a skylight above.  A built-in counter-level grill/oven is positioned near the 4 burner gas hob.  A 12V fridge with a small freezer compartment is also present with a 240V microwave above.  A stainless-steel kitchen sink with drainer and a single lever mixer tap has a side hatch above to provide light and ventilation.  Both sink and hob are fitted with individual glass lids to extend available workspace when not in use.

Saloon

A large U shaped dinette area with under seat storage areas converts to a 4' wide double berth and backs onto the open plan saloon area forward which features a Bubble diesel fuel stove, TV and armchair. There is direct access to the bow well deck area which has comfortable 4 person outdoor seating with a cratch frame.

As a Broker, our understanding is that the vessel you are purchasing should have been built and correctly CE marked to satisfy the requirements of the Recreational Craft Regulations and there is no such proof provided by the vessel owner. You should satisfy yourself of any implications that may arise from purchasing the vessel. You are advised to seek further advice should you see fit.  However whilst the purchase is not illegal, you should be mindful that there could be implications for future saleability or value of the vessel.
