Yes. At Tingdene Boat Club, you don’t need a license. All our boats are easy to handle, and training is provided so beginners can feel confident on the water.

Which boat is best for a family day out?

For family trips, the Henley Five and Skipper boats are ideal. They seat up to six people comfortably and have everything you need for a safe and enjoyable day on the Thames.

Which boat is best for a larger group?

The Admiral boat is perfect for groups of up to 12 people. It includes a toilet, hot and cold water, heating, and a grill, making it ideal for social outings in any season.

What facilities are included on hire boats?

Our boats are equipped with toilets, hot and cold water, seating for 6–12 people, grills or hobs, and covered areas for shade or warmth, depending on the vessel.

Are Tingdene Boat Club boats available for regular bookings?

Yes. Members can book boats through our app for regular use on the River Thames, including weekends and evenings, with up to four active bookings at a time.
