Marina ManagerUpton Marina

Location: Upton Marina, Upton-upon-Severn, Worcs. WR8 0PB

Do you have previous experience within marina management?

We are recruiting for a Marina Manager to join our team at Upton Marina- and this is one you don’t want to miss!

So, what will the role as Marina Manager involve?

  • Oversee the day to day operations on site at the marina, to ensure the overall success of the marina and its day-to-day running
  • Financial budgeting control and responsibility for the marina
  • Managing onsite externally owned concessions
  • Berth management to ensure profitability and efficiency
  • Partaking in regular tenant check-ins and events to maintain good relationships with customers
  • Administrative management of the marina
  • Regular reporting of KPI’s and data
  • Management of boat sales onsite
  • Actively seek new brokerage boats onto sales from outside the organisation and confidently manage the sales process of brand new bespoke boats
  • Attending regional and national boat shows across the country, representing both Upton Marina and/or Tingdene’s boat sales function
  • Management of the onsite team, both site-based and office-based
  • Understand, implement, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fire safety regulations, emergency procedures and any other regulations necessary
  • Complete any necessary marina management training

What experience do you need to be a Marina Manager?

  • Previous experience in creating growth with a previously managed marine or similar based site
  • Relevant experience and enthusiasm to pursue a career in the marine industry
  • A strong aptitude for customer service
  • Sufficient experience in site development and management of external suppliers
  • Sound sales experience, preferably in the marine sector or similar
  • Staff management
  • A personal and/or professional interest in the boating industry
  • Experience in using relevant marine management, CRM systems and finance management programs
  • Experience in using basic software programmes (Microsoft, Outlook, etc.)
  • Marina management qualifications e.g. IMM, AMM, CMM (beneficial but not essential)
