Messing About a 57ft Cruiser Stern Narrowboat steel shell in 10mm base plate with 6mm hull sides built by Paul Widdowson and fitted out by Bath Bespoke Boats in 2019.

Designed in a forward layout, this attractive boat has a master cabin with a fixed double berth aft, a contemporary bathroom with a pump out toilet, a galley boasting solid wood worktops, an L shaped dinette and a saloon with space available for free standing furniture.

Powered by an efficient Barrus Shire 40hp 4 cylinder diesel engine with only 150 engine hours. Central heating is provided by a Webasto diesel fired system and multi fuel stove in the saloon. Hot water is supplied by the engine calorifier and central heating. 240V & 12V electrics on board.

Engine serviced in 2021, BSS valid to May 2023, hull surveyed in October 2022.

General

Four bespoke double-glazed full hopper inward opening windows, four double glazed port hole windows, along with a double glazed skylight and bespoke bow joinery sure makes this boat stand out from the crowd.

Master Cabin

A relaxing and practical bedroom. Central stern doors leads into a light, bright and airy master cabin. Storage cupboards aft for essential boating supplies including hanging rails. LED reading spotlights. Three port hole windows allow plenty of natural light in with custom made black out bungs.

Bathroom

A short corridor leads into the bathroom with an oak lined side hatch opposite. The contemporary bathroom has a tiled separate shower with 6’ 4” headroom, a full width mirror, pumpout toilet with a 340L holding tank. Oak vanity unit with white ceramic hand basin, and radiator.

Galley

The well equipped bespoke U shaped galley (kitchen) with hardwood worktops housing a underslung stainless steel sink, Bush 4 burner gas hob, grill and oven, Bush washing machine, 12V fridge integrated into the handmade oak cabinets with contrasting cupboard doors. High level stained glass cabinet. Ample of 12V & 240V plug sockets in the galley and throughout the boat.

Dinette

Positioned to port features an L shaped dinette with seating for four crew. This can be converted to form a double berth, accommodating two extra berths when required. Storage beneath the seating.

Saloon

The spacious saloon currently has a freestanding armchair, this space could accommodate a sofa bed adding an additional two extra berths. A 32’’ Panasonic television on a TV bracket. A multi fuel stove on a tiled hearth.

Heating and Hot Water System

In addition to the multi fuel stove in the saloon, this well-equipped craft has a Webasto 5.2kw diesel fired central heating system running cast iron column radiators throughout the boat, as well as the calorifier for hot water. The Webasto is controlled by the 7 day Heatmiser timer. The 90L twin coil calorifier is connected to the engine circuit providing heat for hot water when running.

Electrics

The 240V system on board simply plugs in to the shoreline providing power to the sockets throughout the boat. When cruising a Victron 2000W inverter ensures you are never without power. Victron battery monitor. 1 starter batter and 3 domestic batteries.
